  • 1. Gus finished 18th overall in his first FIS Tour de Ski - the best-ever American men's result.
  • 2. Gus is the first American to win a gold medal at the FIS Junior World Cross Country Championships!
  • 3. He was a member of the 2019 Junior Men's World Championship relay team with Luke Jager, Ben Ogden, and Johnny Hagenbuch, skiing the anchor leg.
  • 4. When he's not racing, you'll find Gus backcountry skiing, riding motocross, paddle boarding, watching TV, sometimes playing video games. He also fishes commercially for salmon in the summer.
  • 5. Thanks to "an amazing special ed teacher at my high school," Gus spends time volunteering for Special Olympics.
