Medical Emergencies in Skiing & Snowboarding [MESS]

The MESS course is hosted in the winter for physicians and in spring for allied healthcare practitioners. For more information, please contact the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Sports Medicine Department.

Physician MESS Course

We are looking forward to once again hosting our Medical Emergencies in Skiing and Snowboarding course. This course provides education and practical skill development for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Medical Pool in acute injury triage and illness commonly seen when traveling with elite level teams. This annual course is designed specifically for volunteer staff of the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Medical Pool. The course provides CME for physicians/medical providers, is a requirement for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Medical Pool, and must be retaken once every four years.
